The League of Kitchens (LoK) is an immersive culinary adventure originated in NYC where immigrants from around the world teach intimate cooking classes in their homes and lead eye-opening tours to their favorite shops and snack spots. Each experience offers opportunities for meaningful connection and social interaction, cultural engagement and exchange, culinary learning and discovery, and exceptional eating and drinking! Through this experience, LoK seeks to build cross-cultural connection and understanding, increased access to traditional cooking techniques, and meaningful well-paid employment and training for immigrants. Now they’re coming to Los Angeles and hosting a launch party at Treehouse!
Please join Founder and CEO, Lisa Gross; LoK Los Angeles Manager, Jessica Yoon; and instructors Elmira Avetian and Smitha Sindagius to celebrate and learn more about LoK’s cooking workshops and shopping tours.
The party will feature:
Homemade Georgian/Armenian and Indian snacks
A panel discussion with Lisa Gross, LoK Founder/CEO; LoK LA Manager Jessica Yoon; instructors Elmira Avetian and Smitha Sindagi moderated by Jessie Nicely, Founder and Editor in Chief of Compound Butter Magazine
Wine from INCONNU wine, beer from 10 Barrel Brewery, and kombucha from Health-Ade
A selection of curated cookbooks for sale from Now Serving
